Unexpected Obstacles

I arrived at the lake house on Friday night around 7:30. I expected to see the helpers gone and half the boxes unpacked - instead the helpers were still unloading. Grandma filled me in on the unexpected obstacles of the day.
1. The boat trailer got a flat tire 45 minutes after leaving.
2. The teenage boys who were driving together ran out of gas on the road.
3. The U-haul got stuck at the bottom of the house driveway and they had to get a tow truck to get it unstuck.
4. All the furniture needed to be unloaded out of the u-haul, placed in a truck bed to be driven up the steep driveway and then unloaded into the house.
5. On one trip, the boys were walking behind the truck to assist in keeping the boxes and furniture from falling out and the table fell out, falling on the hand of one of the guys (which needed icing).

As you can see, the driveway is extremely steep and the first floor has many steps to get to it. The guys (and Grandma) were plum worn out when I arrived and there was so much more to do. Our crew of 7 had worked their tails off in the heat of the day. I threw down sleeping bags for the kids, settled them as quickly as possible when sleeping 5 kids per room and pitched in myself. Tim and I stayed up until midnight opening boxes and setting up the kitchen. There was still much more to do...
