We had a "late night" with 3 Bender Buddies last night. A late night is when friends come over to play until late at night in lieu of a sleepover. That way kids get the adequate sleep they need, hopefully are cheerful and rested the following day but had all the extra fun night time play with their friends.So last night the Bender Country Kids taught the Fish Country Kids a new and impressive trick. They caught a large June Bug. Tied a string to his hind leg (which wasn't easy to do)....
Slung it around their heads a few times like a lasso and off he started flying on his own. A homemade bug kite....maybe a bug on a leash?
It provided all kinds of entertainment, especially when they weren't quite sure where that June Bug would fly and all kids were dodging and yelling. That's what I call cheap entertainment in a weird sort of way.
